Wink Project opti install going according to plan!

I started taking everything apart today to install my new optispark. Everything was relatively simple for me working by myself. For those of you who havent done this, coolant will spill everywhere no matter how hard you try. I took out the fans as an assembly. I didnt need to move the air pump. Only trouble I had was with the crank pulley. I went and got a puller and it then came off with a few hammer taps. Tomorrow I'm gonna start by cleaning off grease and oil off the front of the engine real good. I noticed my timing cover leaks oil a little at the bottom so I'll seal it with some RTV and see if that helps. Then I'll install my new goodies: opti, Hypertech 160 degree thermostat, serpentine belt, and the throttle body bypass while I'm at it.

I have done many things on f-bodies, but I think it was easy as hell to do the opti. Took 5 hours with me and my buddy taking our time and eating pizza in between.

Is there a special way to align the opti, other than the way it is now? I mean, is there something in the back that has to aling or match up to something?

The drive pin just has to line up. It only goes in one way, so you have to try it till you get it. Once you get it in your hands, you will understand what I am talking about.

93-4 [unvented]have a splined shaft that has one 'tooth' missing, and that's what indexes them.. make sure it goes on easy and flush[if not it isn'tright]withoput pulling it in with the 3 bolts..
95-7[vented] have the 'pin drive'

AS YOU CAN TELL, MY OPTISPARK INSTALL WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. I started her up and she fired on all 8 powerful cylinders right away and the idle is soooo damn smooth now. MY WHOLE BODY WAS TREMBLING AFTER I TOOK IT FOR A SPIN AROUND THE BLOCK! Lets just say that it was the first time I ever saw the "Low traction" light come on!!! The only bad news is it still has a slight misfire but thats nothing new plugs and wires wont fix since the old plugs are probably quite fouled. Now I'm giving her a much needed oil change and then I'm hitting the streets for the rest of the day.......

Ahhh I cruised all night and it was so relaxing. I had the car sideways at one point and I'm never doing that again but I didnt lose it. Anyways, I go to get gas and some tool was sittin up there in his trans am. I barely step foot outta my car and he was all up in my shizz. He was like "you wanna run?" And I said "No, sorry" and he stood there looking at me like I was from outer space. When I was leaving I pulled around and he revs his probably stock engine at me so I drove off softly hanging my head high.....
