Somehow I don't think these could be as good as say, comp pro mag 3/8" stud s/a rockers. anyone use these or hear good/bad about them?

I had a set of comp 1.6 and the proform 1.6. I saw no real problems with either besides the fact my pushrod was bent on one valve and it ground the proform a little but it took a while. The comp one wore out VERY fast to the point where it was self aligned but kept popping off the tip!! I liked the proforms but you can get them 10-20.00 cheaper then that price if you shop around. I paid 139.99 for mine about a year ago thru pace but it might be same elsewhere.

I've heard the aluminum can flex and not give a "true" lift. thats why most people run the comp pro mags. Maybe someone can explain/agree/disagree?

In all actuality the best rollers around are harland sharp's. Aluminum and steel alike will heat and flex. Aluminum has a better heat release then steel so they run cooler as long as you have good pressure in your oil system. Harland sharp's I seen after no oil pressure and burned pretty bad they kept consistent. Comp's and proform literally melted! This was at my buddies speed shop after a few times dragging with all the rollers known. Harland sharps are expensive though but are lifetime rebuildable and they will replace any piece toasted if you can do it.

actually seems to me most people here run the Crane Golds which are made of - yep - aluminum. The aluminum rockers are designed with more structure in place to prevent any flex due to the material.

For $139 or $169 (vs about $270-$300), you really cannot beat the Proform rockers. I haven't heard anyone say anything negative about them, and this question comes up occasionally here.
