Re: Procharger + Hotcam=??
Hey I was wondering the same thing because I have the same set-up minus - ported heads. everyone told me it will work but not optimal. Which is true. I plain to have my engine rebuilt with forged internals and slap a blower cam in with 15 punds of boost. 8 pounds of boost seem to get everyone in the 12's in stock form. 15 pounds should put me hopefully into low 11's

Re: Procharger + Hotcam=??
Why is everyone so hellbent on getting a HOTCAM? Get a BLOWER CAM and optimize your blown combo. Call up some of the knowledgeable cam people and see what's reccomended, or see what's reccomended on the board here. Sure, a hotcam will WORK, but it's not going to be optimal.

Im not hell bent on getting a "hotcam" its what i have in my CAR NOW!! didnt wanna rip apart engine again, just wanna slap on a procharger kit! if i had the $$ to get a new cam along w/ the charger i would be more than happy to do it that way.

Re: Procharger + Hotcam=??
guy that cruises around in my area is running some kind of supercharger (don't remember which brand) at 6 psi. I know he has heads, and he is running the hotcam on 1.6's. it's a 6 spd car with 4.10's. He has posted 11.7's i believe, and the f-body guru in the area swears it'll go 11.2's with a new clutch and better driver.

Re: Procharger + Hotcam=??
I ran one with a 4.5psi Powerdyne and was trapping 115MPH.
The hot cam isn't the best blower cam because of the overlap... however, it seems to be better than the stock cam because my buddy had a Powerdyne 4.5psi on a stock LT-1 and was only trapping 109-110MPH.
I was trapping 110MPH with just the hotcam, then 115 with the 4.5psi blower.
My buddy was trapping 99-100 on the stock LT-1 (Trans-Am) and then was 109-110MPH with the blower.
