Ive got a 94 Lt1 and it recently died on me. I replaced the batt, alt, and popped in a new starter. but still am only getting a single click . need some advise on what else the problem may be.

Re: problems turning over

Um sounds like a ignition switch problem,or probably a ground wire. I remember my 94 same as urs did that I was at a light and the car just turned off n i was only getting a clicking.

Mine turned out to be a ground wire connected at the bottom side of motor was brOken,i put in a new terminal for the wire n my motor turned over

Re: problems turning over

Could be as simple as corroded strands in the main battery cables. Did you check them, and clean any corrosion off the terminals before installing the new battery and starter?

Shoebox has some info on the ignition switch. See if the first paragraph describes what you are experiencing.

Re: problems turning over

Just throwing this out there but is the key in good shape?I had my ignition switch in the column replaced under recall for saturn and got two new keys last spring and last month my saturn wouldn't start sometimes so I am using the other key they gave me with no problems(knock on wood).Hope this helps.
