connecting rod bearings

Hey Members,
Is there any easy way to replace connecting rod bearings when engine is in vehicle. I have to replace my oil pan. thought it would be a good idea to look in this area while everything is pretty accessible. Don't know exact mileage on my Lt1. Thanks

It's not particularly easy but it can be done in the car. The hard part is getting the pan off. Also replace the oil pump drive connector and get the oil pump pick up welded to the oil pump body.

You can also change the main bearings by rolling the block side half into place. I put a tool into the oil hole and turned the crank.

Good luck!
