Problem with radiator hose

Hey guys! Strange situation here... I just replaced the driver side radiator hose. It was an oem replacement and fit perfectly. However, under pressure, it leaks a bit where it enters the water pump. I made sure the metal was clean before I installed it, and used a new hose clamp. Any ideas why it would still be leaking?

Should be a good heavy duty clamp, but I would tighten it some more till it stops leaking.Did you use a rachet,or screw driver?Hope this helps.

Re: Problem with radiator hose

Yea I have the same problem, it just barely seeps out and collects directly below the hose on a small lip area of the WP yet when I check the hose and WP area above its all dry. I have already replaced the hose and have a good clamp that's sitting pretty tight on it yet it still seems to seep out. Nothing major on mine but an annoyance none the less.

I'll try a heavy-duty clamp and crank it tight, I just don't wanna damage the hose. Thanks, guys.

Re: Problem with radiator hose

I put an extra HD clamp on it and it's still seeping out, I'm at my wits end! I've replaced every hose in there and this is the last little demon preventing me from being leak-free when it comes to coolant. I even made sure it was seated tightly and it's not crimped or anything odd. It's the same hose another shop showed me when I went to check. The pump is good too, no cracks or anything and the metal was clean when I installed the hose.

ARG!!! What else can I do?
