Problem with engine

I have a '96 camaro with about 110,000 miles on it and recently noticed that whenever the rpm's get over 4,000 i smell gas. I was wondering if you had any idea how to fix this or if you have experienced this with your car?
PS: it seemed to start to happening after i took the car 150+ mph if that has anything to do with it

Re: Problem with engine

My car does not do that do you have a cut out? Maybe its just unburned fuel?

Re: Problem with engine

The factory tune it pig rich, so it's likely just got more unburnt fuel when it revs higher.

Re: Problem with engine

That would be my first guess.

And/or a bad O2 sensor causing it to richen out in the upper RPMs.
