Are those the self aligning rockers you got? if adjusted properly they shouldn't be too noisy even with the stock steel covers.
You can get the composite valve covers from any GM dealership, just ask for95-96 corvett covers. I ordered mine from Jasson Cromer.

Re: pro mags

Some people report them not being loud at all. Others and myself included have experienced them being very loud. There is a ticking noise. I adjusted mine 1/4 turn past zero lash twice and found them noisy both times. Also I have different valve covers that are thinner then stock. So that could play a roll into the noise as well.

Its normal for them to tick, sounds like sewing machines. However very loud ticking is abnormal. I can barely hear them with the hood closed standing in fron of the car.

Re: pro mags

Well a loud ticking to me may not be a loud ticking to you so its hard to say what a loud ticking is lol. Been a while or maybe never since I sewed, so everyone referring to a sewing machine does nothing for me lol. And I don't hear much of the ticking when the hoods closed neither. But that just may be because I am running Lt's to an offroad Y to loudmouth catback. So I can't hear much of anything else when the hoods closed.
