Post Pics of X-Pipe's on LT1's!
I need some pics of X-pipes on 4th gens, preferably summit x-pipe so I can show my welder how to weld it up so it doesn't get much in the way, I know clearance sucks but I don't care. Thanks and also my headers didn't come with collectors, so do I need to get some or can I just make the x pipe slip over the header and use u bolt claps on the header ends?

Hows the drone? I really want duals, and have them go out the back.

for parts, it was like $300? welding was free
i just used jack stands and mocked everything up, marked it and welded it. sounds wicked. I used to have a flowmaster catback, sound alright. but I seriously get compliments all the time on this exhaust. My drone is a little more than most (4.10 & auto tranny) and i can hear my radio ok. i might throw some bullets in later. 3.42's and under will be fine with this.
considering the cheapest catback for our cars is the flowmaster and it's like 350, i would say this is the only was to go. I regret spending money on a catback, but there good it you have a cutout.
This is my first exhaust that i've ever made, so just goes to show that a normal hobbiest can do this. I painted the entire exhaust with high temp flat aluminum paint so it will keep some of the rust off for a while.
I'm not sure how the clearance would be with the stock torque arm, i gained about 2" with the aftermarket mac torque arm.
here is my complete parts list: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=26
btw - Josh'95Z28conv - cam is going in next week.

I posted pics in here. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=497678 I have as much if not more clearance than my hooker y-pipe... All I have left to do is put on my exhaust tips.

Your clearance is pretty good as well. Are you running stock ride height? I have Hotchkis springs and up unitl this point I haven't relly seen anything that will clear. I actually still don't know if this kind of setup will clear either.
