pressing on crank hub without using the hub bolt while hub is half on
hub is half on, I've messed the threads up a bit, but I believe they are repairable I've fixed way worse, but I don't want to rely on that hub bolt to press on the hub to the crank, is there another way to press it on?

I tried to find a longer bolt to pull it on but couldnt find one long enought with the same threads. That's probably the best way. I ended up knocking it on enough with a small 2x4 and a hammer to get the threads started and pulled it back on.

Get a threaded rod and screw it all the way into the crankshaft. then place a socket over the hub, a large washer and use a nut on the threaded rod to push the hub on. This way you are not putting any pressure on the crank threads or hub bolt, the threaded rod and nut take the load.

Ohh...ok.
I just never heard it called all thread.
Goodluck finding a 7/16 - 20 rod.
I looked everywhere for one.
Some say napa carries it but I didn't get to check there.
My local hardware store closed before I could check with them.
I had to "tap" mine back on.
