I was just wondering if the power window motor on LT1's and LS1's are the same unit?

mine is on it's way out and I know some one selling one off of a LS1 car and would like to know if it will work b4 buying it.

Thanks.

I got the factory replacement for about $90 at discount through some guy. But since the factory motor is crap and will probly just fail again in the next few years... I probly shoulda just did what Barry did and got the cheapo with a lifetime warranty.

The weird thing about my bad motor is: It will go about half way up and run out of power, but if I wait 3-4 minutes and try again, it goes the rest of the way up.

Older cars didnt have this problem. GM obviously switched to a cheaper vendor.

Check the switch first before you decide its the motor. The switch costs about $14 from the dealer and breaks and gets dirty easily.

The reason your motor stops about half way and then works after a short wait is because there is an automatically resetable overload protection circuit. When the motor draws too much current the breaker will trip. After a short break the breaker will reset allowing operation again.

AKA - new motor

the motoors you get from Autozone are cheaper cost wise, but I have found them to be a better motor...faster, last longer, lifetime warranty, etc

And yes they are the same 93-02

Go get one from Autozone
