Power Steering Pump Pressure

Anybody have any clue what kind of pressure the PS pump generates? For special reasons i want to replace my PS pressure line and want to make sure the fittings and line i use can stand the pressure.

Re: Power Steering Pump Pressure

I think its around 80 PSI. Could be wrong. I had some lines made that can hold 4000 PSI lol. Talk about overkill. Was a hydraulic shop here in town that makes hoses for bulldozers, cranes, etc...

The pressure line between the pump and the gear generally sees about 1200 psi. This is if the presure relief valve is actuated in the pump. The return line from the gear to the pump generally doesn't see over 150 psi.
