Question Power Steering Fluid?

I need to add power steering fluid to my car. But, if my car has the synthetic option from SLP, was this fluid part of the package? I can't find my window sticker, and I don't remember if it has it. Is there a quick way to find this out? If it does have synthitic, will it hurt the car to mix it with regular fluid? Can synethic fluid be found at Auto Zone, or another parts store?

I know this is a lot of questions, but I don't want to hurt my baby.

Thanks for any information.

Now would be a good time to flush all that old nasty PS fluid out of the system. Pull the return line at the reservoir, drain it, then cap the return line port, add new fluid, then run the engine for a few seconds and turn the streeing wheel. Do this till fresh fluid comes out the return line, hook the line up and clean up with some brakekleen.

Thanks for the advise. But right now I just need to add fluid. I will flush out the system soon, when I have more time.

Any ideas on adding fluid?

Thanks

I don't see how a GM dealer would know if it's synthetic if SLP did the synthetic package.

Anyone?
