power loss and change in exhaust note

Ok during the past day ive been losing power and my exhaust note has changed. I also have hesitation and my c ar idles and accelerates VERY rough before 2000 RPM's i have no problems buying a new opti but i just want to make sure i'm not replacing a good part for another good part, any of you know ways i could check to see if it is my opti for sure?

I had a similar experience, the car runs at different temps, sound changes, stuttering etc.. sounds like an opti

Why don't you check to see if you fried a wire or fouled a plug first before you go spending money on an opti.

Pop your hood at night with the car running and check for arcing...if you can't find a burnt wire, check your plugs. If the plugs aren't fouled run down to Auto Zone and have them hook you up to a scanner and check your O2 sensors to see if one is failed.

Might want to check the easy things instead of assuming opti of the get-go.
