Question power buttons

the driver side window button and the button to lock the doors on the driver side both have broken. what's the best way to get this fixed? should i just try car parts for sale/car parts wanted forum and do it myself? thanks for any help.

My door lock broke also. I never use it because of the keyless entry but the previous owner must have. It was the spring and I made a new one with piano wire from a hobby shop. You could also try a salvage yard

Is it just the top of the button that is broken, or is it the whole switch assmebly?

The switches are relatively cheap at the dealer. You cannot just buy the button shell, if that is what you need.

Same here. It's a cheap, easy fix.

if i were to purchase 2 new buttons, do they just snap back in place where the old one broke off?

They are not hard to replace. You have to remove the little panel from the door and put them in from the back. Easy enough that I did my window switch in the dealer parking lot.

yeah, theres 2 little tabs holding it in, and a plastic conector on the back of the switch. Pull off the connector, and use a small flat-tip screwdriver to release the holding tabs while pushing down on the top side of the switch. Once it out, press the new one up and in to the panel, plug up the connector and your good to go.
