Power

I have a stock LT1 with about 80,000 miles. Im ready to do a big buildup. I like the LT4 conversion kit, it seems to be a good package. My question is it the best package for the price. I want at least 475rwhp. I need to know the best h/c package out there.
Thanks

Re: Power

Just how streetable do you want your car to be. My point being it will take a very aggressive H/C package to hit 475rwhp and the LT-4 conversion kit will not get you there. Summit advertises that kit as hitting 425+hp but alot of board members will argue against that. Your best bet is to check out two of this boards supporting vendors, lloyd elliot or advanced induction, their prices are alot more reasonable and will put you in the ballpark at least for your goals.

I think 425hp that summit advertise is flywheel hp not rwhp

Re: Power

Summit leaves that little factor out, but I am pretty sure it is flywheel also. And from what others have said, the only way they hit that number was by also adding accompanying mods, like a PCM tune, headers, intake, ect.
