I got some problems here!!! what is code 13? (forget 13... it's 42!)

hello,

The car just die while I was driving at a low speed ( eng. light didn't come up). I tried to re-start the car for a few times (5 or 6) and the battery die. However, while I was trying to re-start the car the battery/starter felt strong... I got the impression the problem was ignition related.

The ECM showed a code 13, but from what I remember code 13 was the left o2 sesor which I changed a few months back and probably I forgot to re-set the ecm.

The next day, someone helped me to re-charge the battery and the car started right up and drive fine / strong for a few blocks and die again!! (The same person told me that when he looked up code 13 it said= engine shutoff solenoid circuit salt... which I have no clue what it is )

any ideas???
Thanks!
Regards,
Leonardo

ALSO
My battery die few weeks ago because I left the glove box open and after someone help me re-charge it, the car ran fine.

...and it would be safe to say that a bad o2 sensor will not shut my car down while drinving? ( if was my o2 going bad again, then the eng light should turn on too?)

forget code 13... before I got my battery re-charged, we re-set the ecm and now it's showing a code 42!

from what I got it's a ICM / ICM ground related problem.

edit (more info)= I had in two occations problems starting my car, both times were the following morning after a good storm (or hurricane for that matter)....The starter cranks just as fast and strong as it usually does, but it just won't fire up. When I let go of the key and back off the starter, the engine sputters and fires a few times, but doesn't really come close to starting.
In both occations, once the car started, it runs fine like nothing happened. (last time it happen was less than a week before the car developed this problem)

Last but not least, I always use 93 octane, but last time I fill it up (one or two days before this problem) I was force to use the next lower grade (89) gas.
My fuel press gauge reads good fuel press.

regards,
Leonardo

could a faulty icm cause my problems? could it be possible that humidity / rain is affecting my ignition?

There's a factory diagnostic chart for DTC 42. Since its got a variety of possible causes, its best to get the chart and work your way through the "tree" to rule out various components. If you have access to a factory manual, it will be in there. If not, try an internet search.
