Post-Heads/rebuild issues

Basically put an entire new shortblock and heads in.

Big Cam
Lloyd HEads
Bolt ons, blah blah

It's bucking and surging really bad. Brakes are nonexistant, believe there's a pretty big vacuum leak. Which brings me to the question... Is one small broken off intake bung going to cause that much issue? I didn't think it would, but that seems to be the case. Havent taken a real close look today, spent 15 hour finishing the car up. Any suggestions on where to start are appreciated. Thanks.

Another note: I broke off the oil sending unit, but its not leaking oil, so i dont think it's leaking vacuum, though I havent ruled that out.

The 'one small broken off intake bung'... You did plug it off somehow, right?

check wires, make sure non of them are crossed. I hope you put the chain on dot to dot. Next thing would be the opti not on right.

as far as brakes go try to bleed them, see if there is any air in there.

and about the bung...you really dont need all of them. If you got rid of the EGR that means u dont have to use one of them (driver side) Mine is simply pluged off with a screw. The onle vacume conection on the driver side is for the opti.

you can give me a call if u have some problems and ill try to help over the phone.

Going to plug it off, and try to readjust the rockers. May have done them too tight.
