post header install questions

I just finished my MAC header/taylor OVC wire installation and I got some questions. Overall the installation was both hard and easy. Drivers side being hard. Passenger side being a hellish swearing festival. on to the questions

1) my temperature guage stopped working after the install. Anyone have any ideas as to why? maybe its unplugged? I have no idea where it is.

2) the plastic boot thats around the steering linkage is very close to the driver's side header primaries. Will this melt? Should I take it off, and if so is it fine to do so?

3) I couldn't get the loudmouth in place yet, but will a carsound cat + loudmouth be a bit quieter than open headers? Its so loud now it rattles my whole interior.

I'm so excited to take this to the track on friday. It seems so much faster throughout the whole RPM range. Also my SES light doesn't come on any more! win/win situation!

my hands hurt a bit though

arent the passenger side even numbers and driver's side odd numbers? if you meant the driver's side I think I see what you mean.

I think he means the driver side. I broke that sensor when I was removing those stock boat anchor manifolds.

yeah you probably just busted that temp sensor like everyone said.

I believe I removed that plastic guard on the steering linkage.

with headers a free flowing cat and LM exhaust I am willing to bet you will be looking for another catback soon.... or some ear plugs.

is that the sensor you guys are talking about? And I think I'll be removing that plastic guard before it makes a mess.
