Is it possible to swap cam without pulling intake
Ive heard people say that cam could be swaped without pulling intake .....has anyone here done it....if so what is the procedure. Just curious if this is fact or myth.

its not something i would recomend, but i have done it before on a factory roller 350 and it turned out just fine,
i removed all the pushrods, then remove the timing chain and put the cam sprocket back on and spin the cam, this will push all the roller lifters up and if you get lucky they will all stay up, pull your cam out put the new cam in and push all the lifters back down with the push rods

EDIT: Regarding the oil pump drive, he said it was an older 350 which will have the pump powered by the distributor.

Let someone with no personal investment in your car, do something vital to it, all while making no real connection to the owner.
Throwing money at a problem will never propogate experience.
That sounds too risky. I wouldn't want to take any chances. I like to take my time and do it right the first time.
