Possible Mod conflicts?

Hey guys, I am planning on doing a few things to my Z, and figured I'd run it by you guys first to see your thought and opinions on if this is a good setup, or if I'll run into conflicts.

Thanks, Keith

Engine: CC305, 1.6 rr's, Hooker LT's, no AIR.
Trans: 3.73's with a 2400 stall
Electrical: Computer tune, possibly an MSD box
And probably some suspension stuff. (Tubular K-member)

Also, what times do you think I'll see?

Nothing wrong with your setup, but I'd add some ported heads to the equation as well.

Thats fine. But I agree with Josh. To get the most outta your cam you should do a lil headwork.

I don't think the MSD box is going to add anything. A tubular K-member is low on the list of mods, IMHO. I still have the stocker, it's one of the few major components on mine that are still stock!

How do you use the car? What are you trying to accomplish with your mods?

on a street car the tubular k member is a waste. and the msd box is a waste unless its a digital 6 and even then you wont see any gains unless your making over 400 rwhp

with the cc306,i think 2400 stall is a lil low. maybe a 2800 if it's OBD1 or 3200 if it's obd2

He mentioned a cc305, so 2400 is not a bad choice. But there's nothing wrong with a little extra stall in my book either!

The MSD box is pretty worthless for your application. I got my box since I run nitrous, but I actually sold my Digital 6 to go w/ a Mallory Hyfire VI instead......definately a cooler ignition w/ more features for less money.

Though I see nothing wrong w/ a tubular K-member on the street, the cost vs. other mods you don't have should put that on the backburner.

The stall seems a bit small. I'd personally go up to 2800. If I were going manual valve body on the tranny, or had swapped in an OBD-II PCM, I'd consider even higher.....some of the OBD-I PCM's have a tendancy to not want to 1-2 shift at WOT w/ stalls > 2800.

if you want suspension stuff, i would start either with the drive wheels or a larger front sway bar. the tubular k member, while nice, isnt worth the hassle or money for you right now. for about the same price you can get new shocks/springs because yours may be worn out. other than that, looks nice.
