Possible to mate a 4l80e to a LT1?

I did a search and found no clear answer....i have a '93 Z, with a 700r4 (non-electronic)....i can get my hands on a '91 4l80e out ofa 2wd suburban, and was wondering if it were possible to rebuild it and use it in my car..i'd have the vavle body done for full manual shifting..what would i have to change or replace?...are the 700r4 and 4l80e the same over all length, do they have the same splines?, thans mount...any idea's..thanks

Tony

I've heard the 4L80 is a much larger and heavier trans than the 4L60/700R4 and that it would be difficult to get it to fit in the trans tunnel on a 4th gen. That's the main problem, there are probably other issues such as different gearing but size and weight are the main ones I've heard.
