Possible front end problem
Possible front end problem
I have a bad vibration at 90+ and it has a loud rubbing noise when I am backing up. I didnt notice it until I put the Cragars on. They have been balanced twice and I recently had a front end alignment. It also seems like the driverside front wheel sticks out more than the rest. Any suggestions?
Check the tires real well for anything touching them. Look for rubbed spots, cuts anything. Also check inside the wheel wells for rubbed spots. Also check tires for unusual wear.
If nothing is apparent, check frame and suspension parts for bends.
check tie rod ends and ball joints for wear.
If nothing is obvious, have a frame shop check CL and straightness as well as the alignment.

Is there a chance that you have one wheel with a different offset than the others? I would pull the two fronts off and compare the offsets, then if that were O.K. then I would check out the front end components while I had them off.
I measured the 2 fronts with them on and from back of where they bolt up, they both measured 5 1/2 inches. But I could probably get a more accurate reading with them off.I have to wait about a week to do that though.
