Question Is this possible? (AC related)

Is there any way to recharge the AC system ourselves? Why pay big bucks to have someone simply add freon?

If you have the equipment and know what you are doing then it is possible. But, if your low you might have a leak and they have the stuff to locate leaks. Also, Freon is strictly controlled thanks to the EPA.
