Just got 355 done and running, now the header tube from #7 cyl is not burning off paint like all the rest. I checked fuel pressure and its perfect. I felt the 7 injector and I dont really feel it ticking, and when I pull 7 injector harness off, car doesn't stumble or anything. I had Ion do the tune and am wondering if injector is bad (30lb Accel brand new) or pcm is messed up. Anyone who can help please do, I think it's running on 7 cylinders so I need to get it fixed asap.

 

Make sure you have #5 and #7 injectors on the right plugs. It happens you might try swapping the injector to another cyl. to see if it follows. Just because something is new don't mean it is good

 

Yeah its on right cyl. I will have to take rails off tomorrow and swap injector around see if thats it.

Sure its not ignition related? Plug wires on the opti tend to do this.. Make sure they're pressed in completely.. and you get a CLICK!

 

check and make sure that you have injector pulse on that cyl

 

with ye ole noid light at most parts stors for about $5

 

I actulay do not like the noid light. Sure it will tell you if it;s fireing but if it's not then you have to figure out why on your own. I just like to use a test light. should have constent hot on one wire and pulsing ground from the injector driver in the PCM on the other wire.

 

If the injector is faulty, you should get DTC 18 code. Have you scanned it?

 

I ordered AKM cable yesterday. Would I get that code with freescan?
