Positive battery cable no longer available!!
I need a new positive battery cable for my car, and it's no longer available through GM or AC Delco. What the heck am I supposed to do now?
If I have to make a cable myself, what size wire do I need, etc.? If you have made you own cable, please post pics and details.

Re: Positive battery cable no longer available!!
I ended up taking the cables off, measuring them, and getting the same size cables from Advance... But, the positive cable didn't have enough pigtail leads.. I had to cut the Alternator and junction block wires off the original cable and crimp on ring terminals and put those on the new cable post... Or go the easy route and buy these:

Are the side post connectors available at the auto parts store? I have plenty of 4 gauge cable and crimp on ring terminals here at work. I just need to get ahold of some side post battery terminals.

Go back to the dealer and ask them if they can search other dealers in the country. I'm in new mexico and went to the dealer. None in new mexico, but he found them for me in phoenix. He got it in overnight and now I have a new gm battery cable. check it out. you may get lucky.
