odd, oil pressure kinda dropping still....

But its only dropping to about 40psi then comes up after it changes gears.

why is this?

also if a crankshaft/bearing was bent it would vibrate pretty hard at idle right maybe even throw a code.

Not sayin mine is bent, but was just wondering.

You have to pay attention to the RPM... not what gear the tranny is in.

If the crank was bent it would vibrate at all rpm. It would definately make itself seen at lower rpm.

Re: odd, oil pressure kinda dropping still....

ok well at wot the pressure will opnly drop half way to about 40psi. Which is 100 times better than if dropping to 20psi ad below at wot. I remember seeing some people's posts that after they switched their pumps there pressure would still drop, but not below 40psi. This cant and wont cause any damage to the engine will it or starve the engine for oil? i mean 40psi is pretty good..

But also about the crankshaft thing if it was bent i would tell right off the bat right? Be really rough and vibration at idle and around 1-2k rpms. Reason why i asked this questions is because at speeds of 65+ i feel vibrations around there. But now im starting to second thought that i did just have subframes installed and thats what is prob causing alot of vibration at high speeds. I rarely every get there, unless im on freeway. So it doesnt bother me until im at that speed.

But just wanted a sedcond opnion on that presure drop

40 psi will get you by. Not what I would call ideal but it will work.

That vibration sounds like drivetrain vibration to me. If it makes itself more pronounced when driving i'd check the driveshaft.

i also found the oil leak. Its the rear main. I should have taken off the old silcone and replaced it with new silicone. Now i have to raise the engine up again and drop the pan some in the rear. Least i wont have to drop the k member...

also i dont think it drops to 40 psi everytime, but it climbs right back up during wot when it drops after the tranny shifts.
