Ported LT1 intake.

I am in the process of getting all my parts for my H/C swap. My question is, is it a good idea to port the intake with an H/C set up. Is this something I can do myself? Also, if I were to do it, would I need a different intake gasket?

I didn't the first time, but with the current rebuild I had Lloyd Elliot port it for me.. I believe it was 175.00. He had one ready to ship so I had it within a week. Others can do it too. The new combo has yet to hit the dyno but if you are doing the heads, cam, throttle body etc.. it makes sense to free it up for a few ponies if it is in your budget.

The gasket I used was the felpro "printoseal" gasket 1284. Part # fpp-1284 from summit. It was just fine.

as far as doing it yourself, that is for someone else to answer.. hope the rest of the info helps.
