ported intake manifold problem

ported intake manifold problem

i just got finished putting a ported intake manifold on and after everything was all done i started the car and it stalls right away. if i keep hitting the gas it will keep running but the second i let off the car stalls. anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like you have a massive vaccum leak somewhere. Did you forget to hook up the brake booster?

Or you forgot to connect the harness to the IAC motor.

Was the intake mounting surfaces angle milled? If your heads were not surfaced and the intake was, then that could cause some serious sealing issues.

First thing I'd do is re-check the connection to the IAC, TPS and coolant temp sensors. Then I'd begin checking for vacuum leaks; hoses and gaskets.
