I have a 95 z-28 m6. I have CAI, MAF, holley 52mm TB, adjustable fuel pressure reg, Headers, and flowmaster cat back. I am a daily driver. i want to do something fairly big to my car to get some more hp. I though about 4.10's but i like to drive on the highway and i've heard conflicting reports on how they are on the highway. I thought about NO2 and supercharging but i don't feel like doing that on a stock motor. I thought about a new cam mabye but alot of the time it shoots your powerband way up in the rpm range and i like my nice fat low end Tq.. So i was thinking about ported heads. How much of a hp increase would i get ? Is is a good idea with what i have so far? Who makes the heads with the most bang for your buck? Thanks for any help

 

Heads alone are not worth the extra work. I've seen cars get a set of LT4 heads with no other changes and only gained 15-20 horsepower.

However, cam and heads will get you a serious gain. Definately worth the time and money.
