Ported GM LT4 intake Sealing with AFR Heads
Ported GM LT4 intake Sealing with AFR Heads
has anyone else had issues with oil being sucked into the runners with a ported GM LT4 and brand new afr 195ccLT4 heads. the only thing i can think of causeing the problem is i ported the intake before i recieved the heads. in the instructions it specificially says not to port match the GMLT4 intake runners to the gaskets.
The car hauls ***, runs great, dosen't smoke on cold start up, fuel trim between banks is equal, spark pugs are great, compression tested at 210psi all cylinders and i've changed the gaskets numerous times, even used the 12367777 performance LT4 gaskets, still it smokes, especially from a complete stop.
out of curosity i put the crankcase under vaccum from the intake manifold, and the problem goes away....
i'm at the point of buying a new edelbrock intake and starting over....

Just a wild guess here, I have the 190cc AFRs, and this doesn`t pertain to me but on the 195s, do the rocker stud threads daylight into the intake
runner? If so, you would need to use some teflon sealant on those threads.
