It's an A4 and it makes a popping noise when I put in drive but not in park. It has new wires, coil, and opti. It may be a backfire but I'm not really sure if that's what it is becuse I have no cat and Hooker exhaust. It's also smoking but it doesn't do it all of the time. It has also been recently rebuilt and I'm thinking that the oil is from the rebuild is making it smoke some. Please help I'm getting desprate and running out of options and money. Oh, and it won't make the popping when it's driving just when at stop signs.

 

COULD SOMEBODY HELP ME, NOBODY ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM? It sounds like it's coming from #7. Shoebox you seem to know alot about these things, no idea?

i went nuts tryin to find a problem kinda like that and replace eveything with msd and it wuz the 02 senors

 

That's a good idea, I have an ses light on and I'm going to go get it scanned today. That was the side that I didn't change.(the other side got burned bythe headers) Thanks.
