so I was doing some spirited driving today. I was above 4000 rpm for about 15 seconds while going uphill around some slight turns. after I came around the last turn onto a straight I gave it about 80% throttle then heard a slight pop. immediately following the pop I saw a large plume of smoke coming out from behind my car. it looked white, or at least a light color. at first I thought I blew a head gasket. I came to a stop, the smoke was billowing out from under my car. then it stopped. it smelled odd, it DEFINITELY was not antifreeze related and I seriously doubt it was gas related. it smelled closer to exhaust with some oil mixed in but the smoke did not appear to be bluish.
I pulled out and putted home, the car drove absolutely fine. no smoke, no quirks or whatever. I parked it, left it idle, and opened the hood. I couldve sworn I heard a slight "honing" noise that I really dont have words to describe. I didnt smell anything. everything seemed to look fine. I walked around to the rear of the car, it smelled like it always does at idle. I couldnt see under the car and I dont have anywhere to jack the car up.

what could it be? could I have blown out the catalytic converter? right now thats my best guess.
