rebuilt complete ,fired up ran at3100 rpm ,now I've got it down to approx.2000 on startup , then drops to1000,but put in gear [auto] rpm drops to 500 then stalls out.any advice? thanx .Gil

 

would incorrectly adjusted roller rockers do this?

 

Use a scanner and check your IAC counts, they are probably maxed out. Meaning the IAC Motor is all the way open and can not let in any more air. So when you put it in gear is stalls. Did you get a new throttle body?

 

My car does the same... i dont know what the deal is either

 

Found problem ,took off intake ,purchased off ebay, removed plate from bottom found 5, 3\4 holes not plugged,purchased pipe plugs ,installed them now idles at1000 rpm & smoother,thanks for all advice ,Gil
