polyurethane bushings

do you prefer these polyurethane bushings? i know mine are junk on my 95 z. i was looking at energy suspension bushings but i did not know anything about them. also, is it just best to buy a kit with all of these? if not, which bushings would be the most beneficial to replace? thanks

They reduce flex. Swapping the ones in the swaybars and LCAs made the most difference for me.

I replaced all the bushings on the front of my 95. Made a huge difference, but it came at a cost, now you can feel every irregularity, bump, groove, etc in the road, but that is what you want from a sports car, isn't it? The biggest difference will be felt from the control arms (upper and lower) and the sway bar. In the rear, the difference will be felt most with the lca's and pan hard bar. All easy to change except the front, lower LCA's which are a bitch (I just bit the bullet and bought BMR's really excellent lower LCA's). Good luck.

Basic hand tools are fine. However, I cannot stress this enough, buy one of those small propane torches. I promise you will have to burn them out.

I have poly everywhere and bought it as a kit for our cars - didn't have to worry about sizes, except sway-bar bushings, which I bought earlier.

Made definetly difference in handling. I don't race my car, just few track-days per year, but general consensus among serious racers seems to be, that poly is not good for racing, as it causes the binding on both - front and rear suspension (when aftermarket lca's are used). Also mine are squeaking quite loud afer 2 years, have to lubricate them when car comes out in the spring.

Do search in autocross section, lot's of good information there. If I had to do it again, I would use poly only for sway-bars.
