POLY torque bushing/torque arm install problems right now, need help

Alright background and problem...

The poly torque bushings been in for a year or so, its still got pelty grease I added alot.

I broke my torque arm.

I am replacing torque arm for the love of god I could not get the torque arm out of the bushing, even with a hammering it.

I loosened the top nut on the torque arm bushing, the bottom"hinge" opened up. I took the torque arm out.

Now, I was worried about not getting it back in the bushing with it bolted up(even though 2 years ago I was able to with my sotck bushing), but with the torque arm in place I cannot get the bushing casing closed enough so I could get the bolt in and tighten it down.

I have tried a big *** c-clamp and hammer to get it to tighten with a floor jack keeping it in place.

Any ideas?

I am going to take the torque arm back off and try jsut starting the bolt then sliding it in the bushing, in a couple minutes.

Thanks in advance...

and before you ask, yes I managed to break a torque arm in a 3.4L v6.

are all four tire on a lift, i did my BMR TA and it came with a poloy bushing. I used my stock clamp with no problem. My suspension is that you either have it lifted by the rear or on one side. With all four on a lift with tracks it should slip right in. Good luck.

It was lifted and lined up on the straight and clear..

I just bolted the bushing up first then beat the hell out of the torque arm till it slipped in.
