Poly motor mount vibrations?

I just put in my poly tranny mount, and the car vibrates more now, but not too bad. My question is how bad will it be with poly motormounts? Should I just return them when they get here, or will it not make it that bad?

I like my ES mounts, actually smoother over stock ones because the stocks (150k miles) were shot which caused alot of metal/metal contact on the two halves of the stock mounts. The ES tranny mounts are too tall which on some cars creates more vibration because it changes the driveshaft angle unfavorably. ES is suppose to be working on redesigning the tranny mount but I've called them for the past two years and they keep "saying any month now".

Got ES also and I don't think its bad at all. I put them in with my motor so I can't tell if it's the lope or the mounts. But even then....I still don't think its bad at all and my car is a daily driver with the mods below. I'd definately put them in.

My car shook so bad I took it out and gave it away. I can deal with replacing a rubber one once or twice a year more than I could deal with all the vibration.

hey man the thing is when you swap your tranny mount to polyurethane, you should also swap the motor mounts too. When you have the same kinds of material for mounts like rubber and rubber it doesnt vibrate. But when you have a really strong mount for the transmission, the motor mounts dont take the torque as well. The poly motor mounts should get rid of the vibration.

Can anyone confirm this, because the interrior of my car is vibrating like a b*tch right now, the passenger door and dash. I think I'm going to just go get a stock transmission mount, and jack the passenger header up to bend it off the k-member. Does anyone have the part # for a stock mount or 1le mount?

Re: Poly motor mount vibrations?

just buy the ls1 mount from a GM dealer. the advantage is that it has a inter-locking deal so when it breaks (notice i didnt say "if it breaks") it wont allow the transmission to hit the tranny tunnel. whatever you do, do not use a stock replacement from a discount auto store. i was literally going through those weekly if not sooner.
