Poly-Locks keep coming loose

Is there some trick to tightening these? I have used these on five other engines without problems but, this time is different. I have tightened the set screw down so tight the allen wrench almost bends. They keep working loose. I read the article on shoebox's site and I have tried them all. What am I missing?

I turn the adjusting nut and set screw at the same time for the last 1/8 turn of adjustment. Hasn't given me any troubles.

Make sure you are tightening the polylock on the flat of the rocker arm.

I already checked that but, I will check again today. I love my new engine but, these rockers are killing me.

I agree with turning both as a jam-nut technique for the final twist. However, loctite BLUE is very easy to remove and will lock in the poly lock. Do not use red or it will be a pain to remove in the future.

The studs do have a flat top to them right????
I agree on turning the nut and set screw together the last little bit.

Get either I high quality allen wrench or a allen tipped socket so you can use a wratchet. This will give you more power.

I have never had a problem, every time I remove mine they CRACK loose which usually results in bloody knuckles. There aint no damn way mine could ever loosen.

I retightened them earlier. A couple were working loose. This time if they come loose it will be a miracle. I put a gorilla tightening on them.
