poll what DCR are you running on pump gas?
Re: poll what DCR are you running on pump gas?
alright, its a bummer i have to switch pistons. i guess ill go with the 12cc reliefs thatll put me closer to what i need, i just hope they havent already balanced the kit.

what about this gasket http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...5&autoview=sku
i noticed canton racer said something about it in a post long ago
its only .015 thick and that with a .25 deck would give me the quench of .04.
probably not a good idea though with sealing issues?

T/A Racer.... high DCR and the detonation that comes with it doesn't work with CHEAP pistons.
You also have to use good pins and gap the rings for the detonation that it IS going to see.
On the average setup low 8's is safe on almost all high octane gas and doesn't blow things up.

yeah ive decided to go with bigger relief pistons(12cc) to help with my DCR, and im still planning on working the chambers over on my heads. i think ill shoot for 8.3-8.4 or so DCR. with this could detonation all but be eliminated with everything else set up correctly on 91 octane?

Won't work. It's for a steel head SBC. Ya can't put SBC head gaskets on an LT1.

Well some people have said they were not all that bad.
When ya can blow hole's in them with 2* too much timing on 110 fuel ya know they ain't much.
I wouldn't run hyper u craptit in my lawnmower.
Re: poll what DCR are you running on pump gas?
haha, im just going to run the felpro gaskets and keep the dcr a little low due to the kb non-forged pistons. dont want to chance detonation or blowing a thin *** gasket out.
im hoping those pistons will work okay for me, since im running a conservative setup and not shootin for 450hp.
