I was wondering if the LT1 comes with powdered metal connecting rods. My motor was torn down and I pulled my rods out to replace them. The book I bought had a picture of my exact rod and said it was powdered metal. However, somebody told me my rods are definatly not powdered metal because the rod ends aren't cut round.

Does anybody know if the 1994 Z28 came with PM rods?

Your 94 should have a forged steel rod. From everything I've read, GM didn't start using the PM rods in the f-bodies until 95.
