Plugs and Wires..What kind?
I have got a question for you guys/gals. I have a virtually stock 97 Z, I was wondering if there is anything wrong with getting MSD 8.5mm wires and the NGK TR55VX Platinum plugs? I don't wanna shell out $150 for plugs and wires and have plugs that will throw a code or make my car run like crap. I am sure the wires are fine and dandy though. Recommendations are cool too. Thanks for any input.

You should be fine with those. Keep in mind everyone has their opinions and experiences with various brands. You'll find more than a few that contradict eachother too.
Take your time routing the wires so you don't burn them later and be patient with that # 2 plug. You don't want to cross thread the aluminum heads ($$$ + pain in the ***)! If you start getting irate, take a break.
Other than that, make sure you have some cold ones ready for when you're done
