Plugs, big difference????

Hey what kind of difference did you guys notice after you did plugs and wires on your car. Also, have any of you just changed the coil and found a difference. I have a slight rough idle sometimes and the acceleration feels kinda sloppy sometimes.

I noticed a pretty big difference on my Impala when I did a plug/wire change. After all it still had the stock LT-1 wires on it after 100K. I am getting ready to do a full tune on the T/A after about 2 more paychecks.

sound like you need a major tune up, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Or you can go with a Delteq system. No longer need to replace the cap and rotor because there isn't one. It is one expensive tune up, but in time it will pay for it's self.

I just changed the opti and it didnt go away, I am thinking I need new plugs and wires now, and maybe a new coil. You think that would be a good idea.

Also, clean your MAF sensor elements. Do this carefully. I did it the first time at about 55,000 miles and it made the car very smooth.

Remove the MAF sensor. Spray it with electrical parts cleaner, and VERY GENTLY wipe the sensors with a clean Q-tip with a little electrical cleaner sprayed on them.

Yeah I have already done that, I also gave the TB a good cleaning. I also cleaned the IAC valve and thought maybe that would help. Really all thats left is the plugs and wires. I also replaced the EGR valve.

Been researching plugs on the net, was planning on changing mine while heads were off, lots of people like the ngk tr55. I may be wrong but from what I have found the ngk will not last as long as the factory delco units. Guess I will just regap my delcos and reinstall them since there is only 16,000 miles on them and supposed to last a long time.
