pluging the timing chain hole
pluging the timing chain hole
Hey Guys. I need some quick tech info. I am doing away with the mechanical water pump for a electric one and a double roller timining chain set up. What size freeze plug is needed to plug the hole in the timing chain cover where the wp shaft came out of. If not a freeze plug, what are you guys using to plug the hole. Thanks for the info in advance
I used some 5 min weld epoxy (quicksteel?).. has held up for 17k miles with no leak whatsoever.. took a good look at it when I did my head and cam swap last weekend and there has been no degradation of the material.

For the waterpump housing it does. Not for the timing cover or block.
