plug wire routing question

i finally got tired of my car sitting so im digging i deep this time trying to troubleshoot all wiring and fixing all possible problems so i can hopefully get it running again. however i do have a question cause ive had plenty problems with arcing wires and coil n such. im swapping to coated headers and also otvc wires as well as heat sleeves. my main question is when routing them from the opti to the plugs is it ok for them to touch or is that a no no too?

No,dump the sleeves, and don't let any wires touch each other. Why find a way for the plugs to find a ground? You can loose power I think.Myo2.

Re: plug wire routing question

How do I keep them from touching all together on the passenger side going behind the power steering and under the alternator?

Re: plug wire routing question

I believe wire looms are good. Properly shielded wires should have no problem touching each other. Now them touching the headers would be another story. hope this helps.

The first time I did plug wires I noticed ALL of my wires were cracking from being routed in the area your talking about. The sharp 90 bend + 9 years had the shielding cracked open and them arching to everything metal around them. I can't remember exactly where I relocated them but they went through the motor mount stand and up from there.
