The best way to do it is to cut down a spark plug socket (at the base) and drill out the hex end so you can pass the socket over the spark plug and through it. Then use a wrench to turn it out. Some people sell these sockets already "modded" on ebay but I just went to Auto Zone and bought a cheap socket and made one myself.

I feel your pain. The Edelbrock's suck for plug access. It takes me ~1.5 hours to change my plugs. I do use a shortened socket, and most of the plugs, including 6 and 8, I get from the bottom. The header tubes just seem to get in the way of every plug. You'll get it eventually.

got a pic on the modified socket, cuz i know what your talking about but i just cant picture how it looks. i really hate these damn headers they just have no clearence to do anything. i almost took the headers off just to make it easier on myslef. oh well im going to start finishing up in a few hours and hopefully ill be done before i have to go to work.
