Plug wire/Header clearance

How much clearance is needed from header, to plug wires and boots, before there is a risk of burning/melting, etc.?
Want to know how much fire sleeve, etc. to use..
And don't want to melt or burn anything..
Thanks!
Charlie

Well my OVC kit runs about 1-1.5 inches from the header with no problems.

Thanks
I have a few [Moroso Blue Max'] that are quite close [wires in stock locations, Edelbrock shortys] that I am worried about..
They are maybe 1/2" or so away.. [#5 & #6 if I recall..]
Better way to rephrase question is...
Those of you that HAVE burned plug wires, how close were they?

My wires are as close as an inch or so from the header primaries and no burned wires as of now (almost 3 years). The only time I burned a wire was when it was actually touching the primary.
