Plug Gap

I have a Golen 383 shortblock with AI Street / Strip HC package with the ported intake and other supporting mods. I was told to start off with .035 gap and i've had it like that for a few months and everythings running great. I'm wondering if i'm leaving some power on the table. From what i understand a larger gap makes for a better burn and more power if it can still provide a good spark. Anyway i can adjust them and verify what the ideal gap would be?
