plug change help

96 z28, Ok it took me and my son three hours plus to change the plugs with stock exhaust, is it any easier if you have long tube headers. would it help to unbolt the motor mounts and rasie the engine, drivers side was not too bad, but the passenger side wooo, my son hands are smaller that made a big different, and it helped him to neil down on the engine.....

Re: plug change help

LT's make a huge difference. I can have my plugs changed in 20 min. That's including dropping the starter. I have Jet-Hots/Hookers.

I feel your pain man. I still have cuts and bruises on my hand from doing that. To answer your question, its ALOT easier to change your plug and wires with long tubes. You can actually see your plugs with them and its cuts down the tiem from 2 hours to about 30 minutes dependig on what your doing. Get some long tubes, very worth while mod even if you dont gain sqaut from them at least you get save on band-aids.

Re: plug change help

I also have the Pacesetter long tubes and plug changes are now just about as easy as doing an oil change on the car.
