Definately dont spray water everywhere, You'll get lots of different opinions on this, some people use pressure washers on thier engines with no troubl, I on the other had went through 3 optis in about 6 months 2 of them were when I had to drive the car on the highway in the rain and one was from washing the car at the car wash with the pressure washer. Mine is a 94 and has the non-vented opti, some 94 cars had the vented opti, you need to find out which one yours is becuase the vented ones seem to resist water a little better. After the trouble I had with optis I do not spray water into the engine bay anymore, I just wipe the engine down with towels that have cleaner or water on them and then dru it with clean towels, it's more of a pain in the *** but so is replacing an opti, and rags are cheaper

Re: Please Read Need Help

If you are going to spray water in the engine bay, find a way to cover up the alternator, computer, and the opti-spark. Anything else that is power related should be covered up. And take the battery out when you are doing it. Hope this helps...
