ok i tested a few things with one of those inline spark testers i bought a new coil and still no spark from the coil could the water have made the icm crap out ? does no spark from the coil mean thats whats next to check i did the check in the book to test voltage to the wires on the icm and they read 7.3 volts it says if under 10 something is wrong but what would washing the motor have to do with that messing up i ordered a new icm should be here in the morning man nothing but trouble with this motor

anyone??? i was just reading and it looks like the opti reads its signal and sends it to the emc which sends it to the icm whichs feeds the coil how can i check if the opti is sending signal to the ecm?

Get a hairdryer , unplug connectors and dry everything out good. If you have a vented opti it will most likely dry out and youll be fine. If its non vented you may have to remove it and take the cap off to dry it out. Never put water on an lt1....I guess you know that now.

bad opti would cause no spark from the coil ? and do these normally dry out ? it is a 95 vented one only 800 miles on opti we tryed blowing some air thru the vent hole to dry it out ill try the hair dryer tommorow
